What is a draw style competition?
You do NOT need your own horse to enter this competition! You may bring one and enter it into the draw if you’d like, but it is NOT required.
Each ride is performed on an unknown horse determined by a random draw-based format. Participants or participants representative will draw participants mount the morning of the competition, before the horse warmups start. All classes begin with zero warm up time allotted to the competitor. Each horse entering the competition will have a written explanation available on how it can be ridden successfully. Competitors are encouraged to watch the horse warm ups in the morning after the draw, horses will be labeled with name tags so they are identifiable.
In equitation, a riders position, ability to clearly communicate with the horse and overall performance are being judged.
This competition is divided into skill levels, not ages. All aged riders are welcome in all divisions.
